[edit] Setting up a new controller

• Connect the controller to the network via the CAT5 cable
• Connect the controller the Mains via the Mains adapter
• Both Power and Communication Lights flash while waiting for a DHCP address
• Press the Program Button on the Controller. Both Power and Communication Lights flash
• Within 30 seconds click the “Enable Controller” button under “Admin - Controller Functions”

The Controller will now be registered with the Energy Manager Server. Go to “Management”, “Controllers” to check the controller is listed (allow 60 seconds for new controllers to appear)

[edit] Setting up a new User

There are 2 ways to setup a new user.

1. By installing the Bye Bye Standby® screensaver on a local PC.

2. By opening the Energy Manager in a web browser and going to section "Management" -> "Users" -> "Create New User" and then filling in the form.

Controller ID – ID of controller which is able to manage smart socket at this PC

Smart Socket Address – address of smart socket which is working user’s PC

After finishing fill the form press the Confirm Button.

[edit] Editing User Start and Finish Times

1. Click on edit to edit users details.

2. Change the “Start of working day” and “End of working day” as needed.

3. Please note that you should not set the start and finish times less than 30 minutes apart.

4. Confirm your changes

5. After approximately 5 -7 min of the finish time the Bye Bye Standby® Screensaver will switch off the PC(s) and the Energy Manager will completely cut off the power to the PC(s).
