Please see attached the (long awaited) Harmony-ByeByeStandby Component.
Download and unzip the attachment, and run the Setup routine.
N.B. This component must be installed on the PC that runs Harmony Core, or it will not work.
To use it, start the application from the desktop icon or from your start menu. When it loads, there isn't much to see - just two buttons!
Step 1: Locate your online controller (Running firmware V2.7) - press and release the button next to the network cable.
Step 2: Within 15 seconds, click "Controller : Harmony" - this tells the controller to talk to Harmony, rather than the online service.
Step 3: Launch the Harmony Gui - you'll see a new component - BBSB. You can now add your BBSB devices into Harmony
I've included some Icons - light on and light off - you'll find them in the installation folder - I'll not be offended if you choose to use something else
--
One thing to note - if you disconnect the power supply from your Controller, it will revert to "Online Mode" - you will then have to go through the process of pressing the button on the controller, and clicking "Controller : Harmony" in the app to get them to reconnect.
As long as the controller remains powered up, there's no need to click the "Controller : Harmony" button - you just need to have the Harmony-BBSB application running in order for Harmony to talk to the controller.
--
The component is bidirectional - it allows Harmony to control BBSB kit, and also picks up BBSB signals and passes them to Harmony, allowing events to be triggered if you so wish.
Any comments / questions / feedback of any sort - please post to this thread.
Thanks,
Rob
