unfortunately there are no ethernet sockets in the house - its a wifi zone, with a the cisco switch up in the loft, delivering my two networks to two access points!!!
anyway I put on a lot of weight recently so need the exercise!

had a late night inspiration - Highland Park - I shut down the component an the server machine, and re-started it, without re-starting the controller, and its working!

Hi,

Log looks good - but suggests Harmony isn't listening....possibly a daft question, but is the Harmony-BBSB Component still running? (The application that you clicked the "Connect:Harmony" button in needs to be running in order for the Controller to communicate with Harmony). Several people have made the mistake of using the component to "pair" the controller with Harmony, and the closed the application, thinking it had served its purpose.

I've got one problem with the BBSB component.. you state to leave it open after using the Controller:Harmony button.. but i'm finding that the app only stays open while HarmonyCore service is stopped. As soon as I start Harmony service the app closes. Again the app wont open while the service is running. Could this be something to do with my setup? Also should the DLC service/module be installed/running or not installed as not required for the online v2 controller?

I'm running on Vista Ultimate over remote desktop (still gives a console type connection). Built-in firewall is disabled so as to not interfer with any network comms.

Hi Slinky,

Can you check your Windows Event Logs - both System and Application - and see if there's anything relevant in there?

Core + Component have to be running at the same time - else it will not work.

I'll have a think about it - and will let you know if I come up with any suggestions!

re:DLC Component - doesn't need to be running, but it shouldn't interfere. You can safely stop it (disable the service) to free up some memory if you'd like.

Does that mean you're sorted now?

Hope so - but even if you're not, please let us know :)
